For over 40 years Knowledge Transfer Partnerships have been helping businesses innovate for growth by accessing the UK’s world-leading knowledge base. It creates a dynamic three-way collaboration – between a business or not for profit organisation, a UK university or research organisation, and a suitably qualified graduate – to help realise a strategic innovation project, bring about transformative change and embed new capability.
During the first part of the programme, delegates experience a range of facilitated participative learning at Ashorne Hill to improve their knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas
- Working in teams
- Project management tools
- Communication skills
- Leadership and management
- Health and safety
- Resource management
One of the major group exercises ‘Headless Chicken’ involves the delegates putting all the skills they’ve developed into practice as they work in two teams in competition with one another.
Rich Tricker, Learning and Development Consultant and Trainer at Ashorne Hill said “Working with the delegates on module one is my favourite part of my role; it’s also the most rewarding as I can see the tremendous growth in practical skills which the delegates can take back with them and put into practice”.
During Module two of the programme, the delegates work on Business environment, marketing, financial awareness and business simulation.
Ashorne Hill has worked with KTP for the past 8 years and is proud to have sponsored their recent ‘Best of the Best Awards’.
