What we do
Learning and Development Solutions
A successful training provider has to work in partnership with each individual customer organisation to define specific development needs, and then design a programme that meets your business imperatives and fulfils the agreed objectives.
At Ashorne Hill our preferred way of working is above all to build a long term relationship with your organisation, collaborating on needs analysis, design, delivery and evaluation. This is how we can deliver a learning and development solution firmly rooted in your business context and culture, and providing your key employees with new skills that are directly transferable back to the workplace to meet their specific operational challenges.
People are the engine that drives your business; and at Ashorne Hill we develop people skills orientated towards behaviour change, engagement, communication and capability development in their leadership roles, at all levels of management seniority. In addition, developing key business skills to improve performance, commercial capability, financial understanding and strategy development are frequently the focus of customer programmes.
Culture change and organisational development, introducing new core values and key competencies through individual behaviour change and increased personal responsibility, is where management development programmes often begin. At Ashorne Hill our approach is to challenge the status quo and existing mindsets, building new skills and team commitment, and developing confidence to introduce new patterns of behaviour.
The learning experience at Ashorne Hill can range from the experiential to the reflective or academic – and our solutions often contain elements of all three. As a dedicated learning environment, we can create an ideal setting for training events to stimulate learning and team networking; and our operations team can provide dedicated learning support services to manage pre and post programme communications and prepare dedicated learning materials.
Customer solutions can range from single training events through to multi-modular development programmes – if required leading to a management qualification accredited through nationally recognised bodies including the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).
During over fifty years’ existence as a dedicated management development college, Ashorne Hill has continued to provide residential and non-residential training services in a range of sectors including manufacturing, heavy engineering, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, retail, financial services, construction and public sector programmes. From this experience we have also created a suite of Open Courses that can provide a prompt solution to individual training requirements where this is an appropriate alternative to bespoke programme design.
